Gabby
Co-Founder, Director & Teacher
With over 12 years of experience in childcare, child education and behaviour, Gabby graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science, specializing in Early Childhood Education from the University of Guelph-Humber. Her goals of fostering an independent, child-led education, guided her to become a certified Montessori teacher through the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI). Gabby heads up the Nature Education Program, having worked and lived on therapeutic wellness farm, developing and leading a nature based curriculum for children with and without barriers.
As a teacher, it is Gabby’s goal to foster independence, freedom, comfort and fun, in a classroom.
Marisa
Co-Founder & Administrator
Marisa is proud to be a co-founder and administrator of Ivy Montessori School. As a parent herself, she deeply values the Montessori approach and wanted to create a school where children could blossom into independent, curious learners. With a background in sales and administration in both the for profit and non-profit sectors, she oversees the school’s operations, ensuring we maintain a welcoming, enriching environment where children feel safe to explore and learn. Marisa firmly believes that a collaborative environment is essential for children, parents and staff to thrive.
As the daughter and sister of Montessori teachers (and a Casa graduate herself), Marisa knows how special the magic of Montessori can be and she’s excited for your family to discover this as well!

Maryanne has lived and breathed Montessori for over 30 years, through teaching hundreds of young minds, owning her own school and in the raising of her children and grandchildren.
