Meet Marisa and Gabby, the sisters behind Ivy Montessori School. Their deep connection to Montessori education is a family affair—their mother and another sister are both Montessori teachers. This legacy inspired them to create a school that feels like a close-knit family, a place where children can truly belong.

 

As an AMI-certified Montessori teacher with over 12 years of experience, Gabby is committed to nurturing independence and creativity in every child. Having been a Montessori student herself, she understands the profound impact this approach has on a child’s development. She also brings a unique touch to the curriculum, leading the school’s Nature Education Program, drawing on her expexeriences living and work on a therapeutic & wellness educational farm, developing and leading a nature-based curriculum for children with and without barriers.

 

Marisa, also a Casa graduate and a Montessori parent, manages the school’s operations. Using her skills in administration to ensure the school runs smoothly, she believes in fostering a collaborative atmosphere where children, parents, and staff can all thrive. Marisa’s personal experience with the Montessori philosophy motivated her to build a space where other families could discover its transformative power. 

 

Together, Marisa and Gabby have created a nurturing space where every child can thrive and where the values of family and community are at the heart of everything they do.
